Less biohacking, more living: our ‘wellness’ trends for 2027

From wellness without the bullshit and luxury with a wild side to creative escapes and the enduring obsession with saunas, here’s how we plan to look after ourselves next year

We're bored of expensive supplements, rigid retreat schedules, and the pressure to optimise everything. In 2027, wellness for us is about fresh air, adventure, good food, and a healthy dose of indulgence.

Think wild swimming, learning new skills, and getting active with the whole family. Saunas and cold plunges are still going strong, but the focus is shifting towards experiences that make us feel good. Here's our pick of six wellness trends we’re noticing across our clients ahead of 2027:

1. Wellness without the bullshit

For the athletes, the artists, the yogis, the woo-woo warriors and everyone in between. Wellness doesn't have to mean the same thing to everyone. Forget glucose monitors and biological-age tracking. Wellness is whatever makes you feel good, from trying something new to simply doing nothing. No strict schedules, no pressure to improve yourself and certainly no guilt about a glass of rosé.

Where to try it: Peligoni’s PACE, Zakynthos

Peligoni's PACE weeks have been championing this refreshingly relaxed approach to wellness for years. Bringing together over 30 athletes, creatives and practitioners in a single week, the enormous programme offers something for everyone, whatever their interests or fitness levels.

The 2027 line-up is yet to be announced, but 2026 saw guests cycling through the Greek hills with six-time Olympic gold medallist Sir Chris Hoy, mastering front crawl with Olympic swimmer Dan Wallace and tackling HYROX-style workouts. Prefer tarot readings, sound baths, yoga or learning to stitch with The Fabled Thread? That's on the menu too. Not to mention boxing, triathlons, tennis, breathwork, creative writing and talks on everything from hormones to supplements.

And when you've had enough? There's the Ionian Sea, beautiful villas, long lunches, sunset feasts and absolutely no obligation to do anything at all.

PACE returns in 2027 for three weeks: 24–28 May, 4–8 October, and 11–15 October | From £600pp, accommodation extra | www.peligoni.com

2. Luxury with a wild side

Luxury travel in 2027 is becoming less about being waited on hand and foot and more about getting out and experiencing the world around us.

Where to try it: Inverlonan, Scotland

Opening in November 2026 on the shores of Loch Nell near Oban, this nine-bedroom landscape hotel combines outdoor adventure with understated luxury. Cook your own lunch on the shores of Loch Nell by day, then enjoy an eight-course dinner by night.

At Inverlonan, guests are encouraged to make the most of the land rather than spend all their time inside the hotel. Kayak, paddleboard, explore by e-bike or pick up one of Inverlonan’s BBQ kits to cook lunch over an open fire before sitting down to an eight-course tasting menu from former River Café chef Tim Westcott, which celebrates produce from the farm, hills and west coast waters.

From £360 per night, including breakfast | www.inverlonan.com

3. Saunas & wild swimming: the obsession continues

We've plunged, steamed, sweated, and swum our way through 2026, but Britain's love affair with outdoor baths and saunas shows no signs of cooling off. With beautiful new cabins, wild swimming ponds and woodland saunas opening across the country, these stays are worth a look.
