INDIGO SOL, CAMBER SANDS, RYE
Best for: Beachfront nostalgia with cinematic views
This former coastguard’s cottage sits by the most cinematic stretch of Camber Sands - a quiet sweep of beach where dogs race the tide and kids build sandcastles. Built by the Royal Navy at the turn of the century, it now features design-led interiors with sea-inspired details, light pouring in from both sides and a top-floor loft made for sunrise coffees and stargazing. Out back, landscaped gardens lead to a wood-fired sauna and hot tub, making it ideal for beach days, dune walks and evenings around the firepit.

This collection of four of the coolest cabins designed by architects, is set on a 25-acre East Sussex farm, dotted among hills, woodland and a spring-fed pond in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The former is devoted entirely to the art of bathing, with a sauna, cold plunge, hot tub, soaking bath and outdoor shower tucked onto a secret terrace beneath oak trees; the latter with its own yoga studio, swimming lake, hot tub and deck for stretching, swimming and mindful relaxation.
